The new feature has been discovered on WhatsApp for iOS beta version 24.16.10.73. Users can now use the new feature to access the channel content by selecting from seven predefined categories Business, Entertainment, Lifestyle, News and Information, Organizations, People, and Sports.
One of the important things is to note that channel owners don’t need to manually add or assign a category to their channels because this categorization process is handled automatically by WhatsApp.
The meta-owned messaging app’s system intelligently sorts channels into the appropriate categories by ensuring an efficient user experience without additional input required from channel creators.
The new Channel category feature is rolling out for the iOS beta testers. It is available on the WhatsApp for iOS beta version 24.16.10.73.
